Dr. Peek can’t imagine a time in her life that she didn’t want to become a veterinarian! Throughout college she worked with farm animals, as an equine technician, and was even a reproductive biology intern at Disney’s Animal Kingdom before starting veterinary school.
Since graduation from the University of Florida in 2012, she has worked as a veterinarian in both Florida and Tennessee. Dr. Peek lost her Mom to cancer before veterinary school, making euthanasia and hospice care dear to her heart. She has been doing in home euthanasia for the last 4 years and has been honored to provide peace and comfort during these final moments.
Dr Peek shares her home with her husband and 3 wonderful children. In her spare time, she loves spending time outside with her active boys and going to the beach with her family.
Lyan was born in Puerto Rico and has had an interest in helping animals since she was a little girl. Her first dog was named Brownie and he was a stray that inspired her to help animals in need. Grooming up, she was a military child and has traveled to Florida and Las Vegas!. She loves the outdoors, hiking and doing trails. She has 8 pets, and 4 of those pets are sun conures! Lyan can’t wait to help care for your furbabies!

Shelby was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. When Shelby was a child, she always wanted to be a veterinarian. Her strong passion for animals led her to a career in veterinary medicine. Shelby has a yorkie named Sophie and a handsome tuxedo cat named Tito. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts.

Ryan was born in Orlando but grew up in Clermont, Florida. He started in the veterinary field 5 years ago. As a child, Ryan always wanted to be a veterinarian. In his free time, he enjoys playing PS5 and swimming. Ryan has a beautiful cat named Prince. He is passionate about saving the environment.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Miguel Lespier has called Florida, California, and Puerto Rico home. His journey to find his true passion led him to the veterinary field, where he discovered his love for animal care. After studying at the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, Miguel began his professional career at Chain of Lakes Animal Clinic, where he continues to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families. On his free time, Miguel loves to spend his time with his 2 dogs named Catniss and Bambin!

Welcome Marianne! Marianne joined our team in October 2022. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan. Marianne has lived in Michigan and Washington but realized her home is the Sunshine state! On her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her boyfriend, and going to Disney. Marianne has 2 cats names Ziggy and Squirrel. For 15 years, Marianne volunteered at fostered for a cat rescue. Marianne has been in the field since 1993 and is ready to assist you up front with any questions!

Jaime grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before moving to Florida. Jaime graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program at Manor College in 1999 and is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She started her career caring for animals at an emergency clinic in Pennsylvania that treated both large and small, scaley and fuzzy creatures. You name it, she probably treated it! Jaime continued at a new, smaller private practice once her daughter started school to be closer to home. She loves the personalized care that a private practice brings to clients and patients. During her free time, Jaime, her husband, Ben, and daughter,Emily, enjoy venturing to the Disney and Universal theme parks. She also enjoys crocheting cute animals and running an occasional 5k, especially for charity. Jaime has an adorable Westie named Hooper, who she is pretty sure thinks he is a cat! Jaime is smart, caring, and dedicated to the health of your pets!
Francesca was born in Colorado but is an Alaskan girl at heart! She has been in the veterinary field since 2005. Francesca loved animals so much that she decided to go to school to become a licensed veterinary technician. Her career passion is surgery and anesthesia, and when she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two children, working on her car, reading, and exploring nature.
Alexis was born and raised in Florida. As a child, she always wanted to be in the vet field. She is currently attending the University of Central Florida in hopes of one day becoming a veterinarian. Alexis has an adorable catahoula hound/pit mix that gets excited to meet everyone! In her free time, she enjoys gardening and painting. Alexis cannot wait to meet your fur babies!
Veterinary Technician
Michelle was born in Brooklyn New York and lived there for 16 years until she relocated to Winter Garden in 2003 with her family, and has been a resident here ever since! As a child growing up, she had a dream of being a food taste tester but says that what she does with animals is a perfect second option! Michelle has been married to her high school sweetheart for 7 years, although they’ve known each other for 21 and they have an adorable little boy named Damian Wayne who they welcomed into their family in May 20th of 2021. She loves watching scary movies in her spare time and enjoys spending time outside hiking and walking, and loves to go site-seeing! If you didn’t know if Michelle loves animals, all you need to do is take a peek into her home to find four dogs, two cats, and one bearded dragon! Michelle has been a veterinary technician for 18 years and always has such a sweet passion for helping our fur babies.

Jossette grew up in Central Florida and has always wanted to work with animals. She started in the veterinary field 10 years ago and developed a love for management. Jossette and her husband have two adorable daughters, Jolie and Raelynn. They share their home with Great Dane, Odin. Jossette is a baseball fan and cheers for the Yankees! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, shopping, and trying new recipes/restaurants.
Welcome Kiana! Kiana was born and raised in Florida where she had a love for animals starting at a young age. Growing up she aspired to work in the veterinary industry, so just after graduating from Harmony High School, she studied and attained her certification as a Veterinary Assistant. Since then, she dives right in and pursues each day with a new found joy of her career. She loves advocating for the health and wellbeing of animals, along with educating their owners. In her spare time Kiana enjoys spending time with loved ones, visiting beaches and coffee shops.
Dr. Angela Chesanek is proud to be a true Central Florida local! She grew up in Windermere, attending Windermere Elementary, Lakeview Middle, and West Orange High before heading to the University of Florida, where she earned her degree in Animal Science (Go Gators!). She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in 2005. After a few snowy winters up north, she was happy to return home to sunny Orlando, where she has been caring for pets in the Orlando/Windermere community ever since.
In 2018, Dr. Chesanek fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening Chain of Lakes Animal Clinic, where her goal is to provide compassionate, high-quality care in a warm and welcoming environment. Her special interests include preventive care, senior pet health, dermatology, and pain management—helping pets live healthier, happier, and more comfortable lives at every stage.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Chesanek enjoys family time with her husband, Shawn, and their two daughters. Whether it’s cheering on Gator football, enjoying Windermere’s food truck nights, or simply relaxing together, family is always at the center of her world. Their home is made even livelier thanks to their two dogs: Mr. Noodles, a lovable (and giant!) Labradoodle, and Stella, a Golden Retriever who can’t resist a good swim.
Welcome Mary! She has been an excellent addition to the COL team. Mary grew up in Mystic, Connecticut, but has lived in Arizona, California and Colorado before relocating to her forever home of Orlando, Florida in 2025. In her free time, she likes to park, hop and attend Halloween Horror Nights. Football Sunday is always a fun time in her household, GO BILLS! She spends them with her husband and two German Shepherds, Zoey and Niffler. Mary has been in the veterinary field for 3 years now and has loved every moment!
